According to the case circumstances provided to NamUs, 26-year-old, Ricky “Dougie” Melton was last seen on July 26, 2013, getting into a black Chevy S-10 (with a UK sticker on the back glass) outside his residence in the Gordon Hill community of Corbin, Ky. His father had spoken to him earlier that day, as had his sister-in-law. Neither of them suspected anything was wrong with Dougie, it just seemed like any other day to them. However, after a few days passed without anyone hearing from him, his family grew concerned. His younger brother went over to his apartment to check on him and noticed his vehicle was still there, upon entering his apartment, it was also discovered that his keys, wallet, cellphone, and all of his personal items were still there as well.
At this point, I’m going to note that Dougie does have a twin brother.
There has been a couple of articles written since his initial disappearance, but no real developments. Just reminders to the community that he is still missing… His family is still waiting for answers.
